Genesis 22:14Lyrics
Jehovah-Jireh
(Kenny Carter)
Every time that I feel like
I'm falling out
You're always there for me
Every time that I've needed
I'm not without
Your hand is what I see
You are my God
To You I belong
In my weakness
You make me strong
Jehovah-jireh, my Provider
Lord I praise your name
Jehovah-jireh, my Provider
Forever you will reign
For You O God are high above
All the earth
You are exalted above (Psalm 97)
2- It Makes No Difference (Patrice Rhodes-Kenny Carter)
It makes no difference who you are, you need Jesus Christ in your life...
Lyrics
It Makes No Difference
(Patrice Rhodes, Kenny Carter)
It makes no difference who you are
You need Him, you need Him
It makes no difference what you've done
He wants you to answer His call
Listen, listen I hear Him knocking
Listen, listen I hear Him call
Listen, listen I hear Him knocking
Open up the door before you fall
It makes no difference who you are
He wants you to want Him
It makes no difference how great your sin
He'll forgive you just trust Him
Listen, listen I hear Him knocking
Listen, listen I hear Him say
Open up the door and let me come in
And I'll come into your heart to stay
3-I Will Send The Comforter To You (Patrice Rhodes)
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever...John 14:16
Lyrics
I Will Send the Comforter To You
(Patrice Rhodes)
Come unto me all ye that labor
And I will give you rest
Come unto me all ye who are weary
And your soul will be blessed
This is a promise from our Savior
These are the words He spoke Himself
He said:
I will send the Comforter to you
I will send the Comforter to you
I will send the Comforter to you
And He your strength will renew
He will renew
Well, things are hard and life can be so rough,
Sometimes the way we cannot see
Jesus said let not your heart be troubled
If you believe in God believe also in Me
If you think you're straying, then brother don't stop praying
For Jesus said that help was on the way
He said:
I will send the Comforter to you
I will send the Comforter to you
I will send the Comforter to you
And He your strength will renew
He will renew
He will renew
4- For God So Loved the World (John 3:16) (Kenny Carter)
This song is based on the familiar verses, John 3:16-17.
Lyrics
For God So Loved the World
(Kenny Carter)
For God so loved the world
He gave His only begotten Son
That whosoever believeth on Him
Should have everlasting life
For God sent not His Son into the world
To condemn the world
But that the world through Him
Might be saved
And as many as received Him
To them gave He the power to become
The Sons of God
Hallelu, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah
5- Today Is the Day (Of Salvation) (Kenny Carter)
This song is based upon personal experience, and the parable that Jesus taught in Matthew 20: 1-16.
Lyrics
Today Is the Day (Of Salvation)
(Kenny Carter)
Today is the day of Salvation
Not tomorrow or the next day
Or even yesterday
Oh, today is the day of Salvation
Tomorrow might be too late.
And a I met a man
Who said he wished he'd read the Word
In his youth
He said if I had
Then God might have saved me
But I said to him don't you know
That you can leave your past behind
But then he put it off until some more
Convenient time.
And I used to feel
That Salvation was for later on
In the years
When you're old it just might soothe your fears
But I got to thinking
We're not even guaranteed tomorrow
And what you're surely gonna reap is
What you sow.
And a good man went out early
Seeking workers for the vineyard
For a wage
And he hired others all throughout the day
And he paid them all the same
Now what this says to me is this:
That if you're still in sin and strife
It's not too late
Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
And you can still receive
Eternal life.
6- By The Rivers of Babylon (Traditional)
This is a short a capella song based on Psalm 137.
Lyrics
By the Rivers of Babylon (Traditional)
By the rivers of Babylon
Where we sat down
And yea we wept
When we remembered Zion
Oh the wicked
Carried us away captivity
Required of us a song
How can we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
So let the words of our mouths
And the meditations of our hearts
Be acceptable in Thy sight
Oh Lord
7- Trust In The Lord (Proverbs 3) (Kenny Carter)
This is a Scripture song...Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and He will direct your path---Proverbs 3
Lyrics
Trust In The Lord
(Proverbs 3)
(Kenny Carter)
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart
And lean not unto thine
Own understanding
In all of thy ways, acknowledge Him
And He will direct
Direct your path
My son forget not my law
And let thine heart keep my commandments
For length of days and long like and peace
Shall they add unto thee
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee
Bind them on your neck
And write them on your heart
And you shall find favor
In the sight of God and in the sight of man
Trust in the Lord. . .
Be not wise in thine own eyes
Fear the Lord and depart from evil
It shall be health unto thy navel
And marrow to thy bones
Honor the Lord with thy substance
And with the first fruits of all thine increase
So shall thy barns be full
And thy presses shall burst with new wine
Trust in the Lord. . .
8- Psalm 113 (Kenny Carter)
From the rising to the setting of the sun, is the name of the Lord to be praised...The song lyrics are from Psalm 113.
Lyrics
Psalm 113
(Kenny Carter)
From the rising to the setting of the sun
Is the name of the Lord to be praised
Oh, praise Him all ye servants of the Lord
Praise His holy name
Oh praise the name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this day forth and forevermore
Oh the Lord is high above all nations
And His glory is above the heavens
Oh praise the name of the Lord
Chorus:
And who is like unto the Lord our God
Who dwelleth on high
Who humbleth Himself to behold the things
That are in heaven and in the earth
From the rising to the setting of the sun
9- His Eye Is On the Sparrow (Charles Hutchinson Gabriel, 1856-1932,
Mrs. Civilla D. Martin)
This recording was made in memory of Jason Johnson of Loris SC, who went to be with the Lord in 1999, and also in some small way to comfort his parents. Jason was a 16-year-old who died in a car accident.
Lyrics
His Eye Is On the Sparrow
(Charles Hutchinson Gabriel, 1856-1932,
Mrs. Civilla D. Martin)
Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heav'n and home,
When Jesus is my portion,
My constant Friend is He;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
Chorus:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free;
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
"Let not your heart be troubled,"
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears,
Tho' by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. Chorus
Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When song gives place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him;
From care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. Chorus
10- They That Wait Upon the Lord (Kenny Carter)
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint... Isaiah 40:31
Lyrics
They That Wait Upon the Lord
(Kenny Carter)
Chorus:
They that wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They shall run and not be weary
They shall walk and not faint
They shall mount up with wings like eagles
They that wait upon the Lord
They that wait on the Lord
Shall be as Mount Zion
Which shall not be removed
But abideth forever
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem
So the Lord is around
His people forever Chorus
Let not the hand of the wicked
Rest on the righteous
Unless the righteous put forth
Their hand into iniquity
Do good oh Lord to them that are good
And unto them
That are upright in their hearts Chorus
11- In The Bleak Midwinter (Christmas)
![]()
Despite the "bleak" title, a beautiful Christmas song...
Lyrics
In The Bleak Midwinter
Text by: Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830-1894)
Set by:
Harold Edwin Darke (1888-1977)
Gustav Holst (1874-1934)
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water like a stone
Snow had fallen
Snow on snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
Long, long ago.
Our god, heaven cannot hold him,
Nor earth sustain,
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reign:
In the bleak mid-winter
A stable place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ.
Angels and archangels
May have gathered there
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air
But only his mother
In her maiden bliss
Worshiped the beloved
With a kiss.
What can I give him
Poor as I am
If I were a sheperd
I would give a lamb
If I were a wise man
I would do my part
But what I can I give him
Give him my heart.

This is the classic hymn, written by Reginald Heber (1783-1826). The arrangement is patterned after the Lindell Cooley version.
Lyrics
Holy, Holy, Holy
(Reginald Heber)
Holy, holy, holy
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee
Holy holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy!
All the saints adore Thee
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art holy there is none beside Thee
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!
